Conflict is a natural part
of life. How we deal with it is not. We run away from conflict, ignore it, and
contribute to it rather than deal with it productively and positively. When we
accept conflict and develop resolution skills, conflict becomes an experience
that strengthens friendships, deepens relationships, fosters tolerance, and
leads to understanding and compassion. Our programs give children, young people
and adults the skills they need to handle conflict with greater ease and ability.
CRC empowers them by teaching nonviolent, creative solutions to conflict and
bullying. CRC seeks to reduce violence in our homes, schools and communities by
offering workshops
based on the CRC Themes:
Cooperation
Communication
Affirmation
Conflict Resolution
Concepts
Bias Awareness
Bullying Prevention
Mediation
Creative Problem Solving
People of all ages benefit from CRC workshops which are tailored to the specific needs of institutions and participants. For instance, if a school identifies bias as a key issue among students and staff, CRC will tailor a Bias Awareness program that will raise consciousness of bias and its effects, encourage dialogue around bias-related issues, and teach skills to interrupt bias.
